Theres an old circuit in Mettet (Belgium) that was open back in the good ol days. It was then used only as a motorcycle circuit before closing altogether some years ago.

Well, things have been completely re-developed and they now have quite a large circuit (approx 3km long I believe) with undulations and interesting corners.

I'm going to suss it out tomorrow with a couple of acquaintences with a view to tracking the 944 there.

I'll let you know what it looks like!

That sounds really interesting. We have been hunting for circuits on the near continent and don't fancy Spa or the Ring. (The SR3 isn't geared right for Spa, and it always rains)

No fraid not. I know LOT won't be as they don't think the track is up to enough for the price.

First impressions are good.

Its pretty low key - no grandstands or fussy facilities but its functional, tidy, nice clean flat tarmac and has a good variety of high speed straights and some tight twist bits, with a bit of height change to add to the fun.

There was a variety of stuff out today from those tiny little stock rod looking things, radicals, one of the new Lotus 2-Eleven things, a couple of radicals, formula ford, racing Porsche 914 and some race spec Clios etc.

Not busy, very relaxed and good manners on track.

I was offered the day for about 240 euro - or half day for about 160. Im sure there are cheaper about but if you're over this way anyway and want some fun it looks like a reasonable bet.
