Hi Guys, Still waiting for the DVLA to register my car so i thought i would take it to Snetterton for a track day, and wouldnt you just know it the bl**dy thing is too noisey! Dont know if anyone on here has had problems running a stock LS7 with an Ultima exhaust system and silencers. Its running at 110 db, be nice to get it down to 100, so it will suit a few tracks. Any suggestions?
Anyway on the way home i called in at the DVLA office in Norwich asked how close i was to getting registered, the reply was it could take up to 2 months !! So that rounded the day off nicely. cry

Cheers Keith

Give the DVLA a ring daily....tell them you're returning a missed call and ask to be put through to Norwich... daily pestering. They're sup[posed to have it sorted within 72 hrs, but in reality it takes about a week. Norwich actually admitted to have mislaid my docs... as it is not the normal striaghtforward application!! They also don't need to inspect the car if that's what they fob you off with... provided you've given enough evidence for a new plate - I included photos of chassis stamp and plate, and engine number, for example.

PM me for my number if you want to discuss how I sorted them out! govt department red tape at their best!!

Hmm... your car passed IVA at the beginning of June (which means that at 3/4 of the engines maximum power speed, it did not not exceed 99dbA)

Less than 2 weeks later it is 110 ?

Dodgy noise meter at Snetterton , maybe ?
