MTB Headsets

Can someone explain headsets to me?

There seem to be 4 kinds. Well there are on Hope's website

Standard 1 1/8
Combi
Integrated
Integral

Is it just a matter of replacing what you have with the same or are there advantages/disadvantages with the different kinds, can you change it to a different kind?

Its this kind of thing I dont understand at all. Headsets. bottom brackets etc.

Swap like for like - the one you need depends on the bike frame (well headtube, anyway)

As above, it all depends how the headtube is designed
