I bought a set of wheels that came with a worn set of Toyo R888's.

They are worn with about 1-2mm of tread and obviously not road legal so I have no use for them.

But being track tyres could they still be used by someone? Worth sticking on ebay?

R15 195/50 I think.

The chap used them for sprints and track days so whilst the tread is worn there are no marks on the sidewalls. Just seems a shame to ditch them. Plus I'm sure if they are worth anything the tyre fitters will have 'em scratchchin

Depends how they've been stored over winter as to whether I'd run on them. Toyo don't recommend they sit around in freezing conditions: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Article/Toyo-R888-war...

Also, from what I recall they don't like an epic amount of heat cycles once the tread depth gets low, though someone might come along and prove me wrong smile

I think that warning is only against using them at or below freezing conditions? Most likely due to the tyre heating up during use, and cooling down rapidly when stood still.

I'd take them off your hands if you weren't so far away.
