Arrivals at the airfield include:

Took just one decent vid this afternoon.

Tomorrow I will ensure that I have the 1 gig memory card in the camera, not the 64 meg one.

Anyway. GR-9 landing:

Great practice from the Typhoons, one of which will be displaying with a Spitfire tomorrow. And the Dutch F-16's display will spend most of it inverted, if today's practice run is anything to go by.

The timings were in the FAQ section, so not that obvious, cut and paste below:-

1. Aircraft will be operating from Cosford for most of the morning. At about 10:45 am there will be a display of large model aircraft which will lead into the main display commencing at around midday. The detailed planned flying programme will be published in the Souvenir Programme (£5); available when you arrive on site.

2. Assuming all of our planned aircraft perform to schedule the display will end at about 17:30 pm

Well, there are loads of house alarms going off in my street, following the typhoon earlier, I'm having a great time washing the truck and watching the flypast

I was at Shawbury, just up the road where most of the aircraft take off/land that are too big for Cosford. 2 Tornado's on reheat directly in front of you is something truly spectacular. The Typhoon was just jaw dropping though. on his first take off he plugged the burners and went less than a 1/4 of the runway and just went vertical on full afterburner smile and on his return he launched it down the runway at about 100ft at some serious speed and again, went vertical on with burners... twice smile

Needles to say I went home a happy chap :-) shame about the rain, as you say frown

The weather held out until about 10 mins after the Red Arrows completed they're display.

Then it threw down , Typhoon and Spitfire formation still flew in bad weather. As did the Belgian Sea King ,Blades , Harrier and GR4's.

Was a good show!

the typhoon and spitfire together was brill. Actually it was all great. I decided to spend the afternoon waxing the jeep. just about finished with many interruptions for plane spotting when it started to rain, doh!

the pics on the other thread look great, a lot of the planes were turning between runs over my house.

Looked at the forecast this morning and decided not to go.

But seeing as mrs k is part of Cosford ATC, she had no choice so I gave her the camera instead! Still sorting through the vids.......

Shame about the weather.

Was very impressed , the usual acts (dead sparrows/blades/wingwalkers/hawk/aerostars/Tutor) were excellent as usual.

The GR4s and the Harrier were nice to see both putting on a good show, some amount of water was moved by the Harrier and I always forget how loud it is. Love it.

Typhoon display was very well done and shows off the aircraft nicely, awesome aircraft. Dutch F-16 was stunning as well with that colour scheme.

Tucanos looked very smart and was a pretty decent display.

Highlight of the show for me was the Typhoon and Spitfire, cant believe they kept the spit around with that amount of rain. Maybe Im too worried about Spitfires,I know they arent made out of eggshells and they are all flown by very professional pilots, but I always worry when I see them fly. OK Typhoon is more expensive but it can be replaced and the pilot can get out.

Always forget how brilliant Cosford is, some fantastic aircraft there and the cold war hall is very impressive.

Did anyone get any good photos of the tonkas with the explosions going off? Gave me a bit of a shock down by crowd centre when the first one went off!

Was there a Vampire at the show? On Sunday, what appeared to be a Vampire flew over the Stourbridge area with another aircraft smile Just wondered if it was at the show!

Youl'd be amazed how much a Spitfire can be repaired and put back intio the air.
