Prompted by another thread where my memory of the last time I smashed something just because I weas full of RAGE!!!!

fking strimmer, that wouldn't. Had to turn the fecker upside down every 15 secs or so to feed through the cord. After 20 mins it got wrapped round a tree trunk and thrown across the garden. God did I feel better for that.

Reminded me of all the times when I was younger I would throw tools and stuff around, only to realise afterwards that it probably wasn't the best thing to do as not only did I still have to sort out what I was trying to do, but now also had to repair the wall, door, tool that I'd abused.

I did learn to control this temper as an adolescent... until the strimmer!!! furious

smile

A few weeks ago I flounced a laptop screen down as hard as I could. I hadn't even broken the fecking thing. I am weak.

A wall, travelling at relatively high speed, hit my mobile phone by complete chance.

My hand when punching a lamp post in a fit of rage, learned that punching things which are harder and have no feeling is a waste of time.

I dont usually smash things in a rage. I get angry. Then go in a huff and just leave it there.

Although my mate has the worst rage i have ever seen, countless PS3 remotes smashed as well as a few holes in the wall from the drum stick from Rock Band.

The worst thing is that the smashed remotes are usually as a result of loosing to some 12 year old at Fifa and being trash talked the whole time.

He also chased the bouncer of a nightclub down the street with a hammer, because the bouncer told him his car was crap.

Funny, but gets the rage.

Not smashed but caused a lot more of a headahce for myself.

Had got back from the shops on a hot day with (amongst other things) a 2l bottle of coke. I had been really careful not to shake it up on the way home so when I opened it and got sprayed with coke, I got livid and inexplicably decided that the best place for the bottle was on the lawn outside the kitchen, utilising the open window in front of me as the path to my retribution over the wretched liquid.

I launched the bottle in a rage at the gap only to clip the frame, causing the bottle to spiral back into the kitchen while discharging the remainder of its contents all over everything.

Result?

I was still angry and now even more covered in coke than before. And the bottle was empty

Many things.

Always regretted in the longer term, but in the short term (i.e. immediately) the sense of relief, as a result of venting the frustration, is fantastic.

Used to work at a warranty repair centre for a major laptop manufacturer, needless to say the insurance write offs / replacements got the arse kicked out of them. VERY satisfying, got some funny pics out of it too.

Also at the same job, we were getting some bits refurbished so started playing hammer darts with the partition wall with my boss. Again VERY satisfying smile

My wife was winding me up whilst we were havig a social game of darts in the kitchen with friends, over the fact that I'd been reading a joke sent via text (I only recieve 7 texts a month on average so I was a bit hacked off by her attitude).

I slammed my fist down on the mobile (a Sony Erricson with 5 meg camera, brand new). Unfortunatly, in my fist at the time were the three darts I'd just picked up.
The darts went through the phone, via the screen, and came out the back, and into the kitchen counter top. The phone was embedded into the counter top and had to be forcibly pulled out.

THe phone still functioned. But the screen was pretty fecked up.

The insurance were great about it. Explained that it was 'pretty badly damaged' and that it wasnt just a cracked screen. THree holes completly through the phone.

I'm not a violent man generally.

I used to have a rack in my attic with old computers on and a monitor with a KVM at the top, the linux firewall stopped working and when I rebooted it the file system had corrupted.

In a fit of rage I kicked the PC clean across the attic, unfortunately I'd forgot I had connected the monitor to it making the monitor fly off the rack and smack me full on in the face, I fell backwards and my foot went through the floor into the main bedroom, the rack came over and a PC fell putting a hole in the ceiling of the second bedroom.

It was rather expensive.

I once attempted to smash my phone by throwing it at a tree .. but missed. It took me about half an hour to find it again.

I recently put a big crease in a plug-in radiator after a particularly bad day.
