Good writing.

However, 3-4 years between services and the original tyres???

First thing to go in the bin would be the tyres as they are waaaay to old to be servicable.

Seriously its worth about £4-600 as a neat runaround, and thats it.

Its crazy how run of the mill cars can appreciate over time.

Look at the prices paid for old skool fords, any solid 2 door mk1 escort, that will be £5,000 please, an rs car, double that at least.

Cars such as novas which are very popular in rallying (like the escort) will only go up in value. even though that shell seems to have a sunroof the minty-ness of it will be worth something sooner or later.

Now if only i knew what the next 'mk1/2 escort' would be in terms of price inflation Id buy a couple !

Current bidding up to £760, and the publicity it will generate will only send it one way.

Top advert from a seller who manages to combine comedy and still give enough information on the car - Text speakers please take note!

Last sentence made my day:

"It’s a lot cheaper than a 250GTO, probably rarer, and you won’t have to worry about some ginger DJ outbidding you on Ebay with 3 seconds to go."

hehe

Good ad, and those subtley flared wheel-arches remind me of the latest RS6 Avant...

I really would like that actually... paperbag and great advert, if only half of ebayers would aspire to that kind of description.

Ahhh yes the nova - Loved the way you could feel the steering rack through the clutch pedal and how the clutch pedal would ALWAYS squeek on every single one - MK 2 Cavs were the same!

What a minter though - could be a good concourse motor that
