More gauges!

Has anyone fitted any extra gauges to a cerb? I want to add oil temp and battery charge. Where's the best place to fit them?

Most people sacrefice the clock for an oil temp gauge, other less important gauges like a charge gauge could be ponted near the imobiliser LED.

When I was at Goodwood last Sunday I saw the local Chevy powered Cerb, he has 3 extra gauges in the space above the radio and below where the screen vents are - does that make sense?

Here's my effort, still work in progress, wanting to get everything fitted correctly before interior retrim at some point.





TBH it was a pig to get the pods in there, dash board has to be dropped down.

Cheers boys I'm pleased with how they turned out and think it goes with the rest of the interior.

Like I said they're a PITA to get in there. I cut the fibre glass away under the dark blue bit of the dash where there was a couple of air vents and glassed in a recess for the gauges to sit back into. Problem is, you can't retrim that bit of the dash without removing the windscreen. So its at an interim stage at the moment, patched with dark blue leathette. Retrim will be later rather than sooner

Pods are just cheap plastic rubbish off ebay which I covered in magnolia leatherette. Picked up electrical power plus back lighting from the stereo wiring.

where did you get your supercharger gauge Boosted? I been looking for one for ages, no one seems to do one that is less than 2 Bar let alone one that says anything other than "Turbo"

I need some of those, fantastic job, tink I only need 2 at the moment though as no super charger...................yet;-)

Gauges came from Speedy Cables in two separate orders. Firstly the oil temp and battery, they wouldn't put the TVR logo on these as at the time TVR were still going.

They did the supercharger gauge last year for me, looks superb but it took ages to get it out of them and even then they'd given it the wrong range

It seems to be a real lottery with speedy cables. I have used them twice, once to repair the water temperature sender which I had broken and once to make up an oil temp gauge. Each one was quite a while ago but one of them took six weeks the other had less than a week turn around!

Speedy just made these for me along with a few others

I took the simple (ish) method and replaced the air-con hose.
