looks like somebody broke into my house last night and has taken the keys to several cars and stolen my Golf Gti

So could you all please keep an eye out for my grey VW Golf GTI Edition 30, registration 20 SXD, stolen last night from my house in Heswall on the Wirral peninsular?

Having had my 911 vandalised in February and now this, I’m completely and utterly hacked off frown

ETA: and if any of the camera bods could look out for a used Nikon D90 with a 18-55 AF-s DX lens (no. 41681041)

Do you play for Liverpool FC?

You have my sympathies by the way.

Here's a tip - sleep with the car keys under the pillow. I do. All 8 sets of them.
No place for the tooth fairy, granted, but then I stopped losing teeth about 30 years ago.

Oh god, not this st again. Yea, what I really want it to be woken at 4am by some 6foot 20-stone neanderthal brandishing a baseball bat wanting to know where my car keys are. Take the damn thing, it's insured. My continued ability to breathe in and out is more important to me that a lump of metal & plastic.

OP - hope you get your car back quickly & in one piece.

Dont think so, as somebody else has already posted, its upsetting enough without having the where abouts of the keys beaten out of me!

Thanks James smile

Just a FYI for everybody else just had the police round and they've identified that the side door was forced open . . . . . . This was a modern multi point locking PVC job, which I was happy in thinking, was nice and secure . . . . . . It took 5 seconds for the police to identify where the door had been forced with a couple of simple tools to pop it open!

So if you've got that sort of door, then you may want to consider looking into additional security measures

I'll keep an eye out next time I'm on Wirral. Bad news, wouldn't expect that in Heswall.

This is why I keep a baseball bat at the side of my bed.

What, so they've got something convenient to threaten you with when they want to know where the keys are?

Hope you get the car back OP, but the important thing is that no-one was hurt. Cars are easier to replace than people.

Not when you are awake until after 5am every night and live in an attic flat locked up by 2 doors! wink

Anyway OP bad luck on the car, can only hope that the car gets recovered.
