Seriously! How crap does it have to get before ITV will install an online service that actually works!!

The BBC have an exemplary online viewing platform, the F1 this year has been outstanding thus far.

I was hoping, against hope, that ITV may have ditched their far inferior web player for the World Cup and introduced a live streaming engine that allowed us to watch in a similar quality...

It appears that this isn't the case. Yesterday I tried to log on and it wouldn't let me (apparently the demand was "higher than initially expected" - expected by whom?? A 4 Year old from the arctic circle!!???) and today when it has obliged my request to be allowed to "Join in" the picture quality looks as if it's been shot on James Cordon's camera phone, processed by a Commodore 64 and the sound has been recorded by a man with a boom mic in Cheltenham. Incidentally the adverts that precede it are nearly always crisp and clear...

So bloody frustrating! Why oh why do sports bodies insist on allowing broadcast rights to companies incapable of keeping up with the demands of the 21st Century viewing audience!?

Really frustrating as we know that internet viewing can be such a pleasant experience.

Not great, is it - and the feed is well behind the actual event as well. I tried watching on ITV on line and listening to Radio 5 on line but the TV and radio were about 20 seconds out of sync.

Totally agree with all of this, ITV 'live' is a triumph of showing off over common sense. I was tearing my hair out trying to barge my way through the hierarchy of commands they put in your way. And then when you finally get to the actual video, there's no reward for your efforts, it's awful. That's not even mentioning the ad hurdles they lob in for good measure. Oi, web designers: just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you SHOULD do it. mad

Yes, it's most peculiar...

I went to the BBC website, clicked 'Play' and I'm now watching it... It's just like watching television... Who'd have thought it could be so simple....

It's the ugly face of commercialism I suppose.
