This is the most popular site for 2nd hand cars in Ireland.
I have flown to the UK on a number of occasions to look at cars before. I guess you always have to be careful though...

Thanks all for the replies, didn't realise there wasn't many Insignia's over there.
Would you mind explaining what VRT is, as I don't really understand the whole importing thing?
Tuborgman, yeah it is a diesel and I converted it, 12k GBP comes in at
14,700 Euro. So would he be making a good saving?
Go onto revenue.ie and go onto the ros vrt calculator to calculate how much vrt is. Would you mind explaining what VRT is, as I don't really understand the whole importing thing?

It's a tax to pay to the govement to re-register the car on Irish plates.

Im from Northern Ireland and I know alot of people that have went to england to get cars, cause they are usually cheaper.
Thats more to do with supply and demand than the VRT they pay in RoI. it's not such a big deal taking a car from mainland UK to Northern Ireland as it's still the same country. Gassing Station | General Gassing [Archive] | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
