'Cat & Fiddle' cameras a farce...

I have posted here before regarding the ruination of 1 of the greatest driving roads in the Europe, the 'Cat & Fiddle' thanks to the planned Average camera instillation. I grew up in the area so know & love the road intimately. I now live & work in the big smoke. I have been so busy, that I have not been able to get up to The C&F since I started getting info from the web & mates about the confirmed camera plans, but after reading threads on Piston heads & other sites was sadly coming to terms with the fact that this wonderful stretch of Tarmac would be now strictly out of bounds.
This weekend I have been Track daying & sprinting at Anglesey (Perfect weather, pissing it down in London I hear! & my first time on the new Trac....Mon) & what a track.
I decided before I meet up with the missus, baby & my old man for lunch in Manchester on Saturday just to go & have a trundle up the 'Cat & fiddle' to see what's, what. I still cant quite believe what I found. There seems to be 100s of thousands of £s of tax payers money that has been spent on cameras that are.....How can I put this, In the wrong place? I don't really want to say a lot more than that. But suffice to say the stretch that everybody loved & went potty over i.e. from Macclesfield to the pub is not affected!! (The rest of the road is not worth the effort anyway)
They've even resurfaced the long straight (And done amazing job as well)

Just shows you don't believe everything you read on the internet!!!!!
