So I've just finished reading James Patterson's "Along Came a Spider", and it reminded me of a film I saw years ago. The (somewhat obvious) thought I had was that it was the movie version of the book, but having just watched it, I can now say it wasn't!

The film I'm thinking of, the main charactor had a split personality disorder and was put on trial for some crime. Throughout the trial, the defence was that the person on trial didn't commit it, as it was the "other" person. At the end of the film the twist is that the "sane" person never existed and that it was the psycho all along.

I know thats a rather vague and muddled description, but if anyone can name the film my sanity would appreciate it, its driving me nuts trying to remember!
