My sense of smell is non existent and a recent opps washing the hob and knocking the gas on AND not smelling it was worrying. So, anyone else using one that is worth while?
I know google is your friend etc etc but after some informed help if I may be so bold. Think my life and that of the family is worth more than finding the cheapest.

The other less cheap option is to replace the hob with one with a thermal cut out, the gas won't flow unless the burner is lit. This might be overkill but relying on a battery powered detector could lead to problems.

Ta for the comments, gas hob change is already on the cards but not yet and not thought of that so added to the refurb list (never been an induction fan, sorry).

OK, orfski for the £50 one then or the £10..... how much for a box of matches?
