Anyone remember this Channel 4 sitcom from the eighties?

It starred Simon Callow as Tom Chance and Brenda Blethyn as his girlfriend Alison. I loved it when it was on originally, from 1984-86, but it has never been repeated or released on DVD.

Well, now it's out on DVD and it certainly doesn't disappoint. I watched the first series in one sitting last night and loved every minute of it.

I would seriously recommend this once lost classic to anyone, whether you remember enjoying it first time round or if you've never heard of it.

This was a great series, sadly never been repeated that I know of.

I can still remember the way Chance spoke - like Yoda on acid.

I absolutely loved that series, especially the way he spoke after downing a pint in 5 seconds

Started on C4 and moved to ITV apparently.

Brenda Blethyn looks great, I had forgotten how cute she was.
