I went to a TVRCC meeting yesterday and I was told that you can get some sort of treatment, which returns the hood and roof to it's original colour. Has anyone heard of this? or can offer me any advice re sorting out a faded roof?
Thanks guys as always,
John.

See the 'Renovo' website, you can also get it from various shops. I've used it to do mine. You do it in 3 stages: clean, re-colour/dye and then waterproof. The cleaner and dye work very well but I didn't think that the waterproofer was much cop. Other people have recommended 'Fabsil' for waterproofing, it's what the they use to waterproof canvas tents. Again, just search on the internet.

Yup cherry B black boot polish applied liberaly with a sponge works superbly as all the lads on the rusty nail run last year will agree. Made my roof look brand new and loads better and cheaper that renovo which is a ball ace to apply.

Thanks boys - boot polish it is then! What about the rear window though? There is some stuff in the kit to clean the window up, is there anything I can buy on it's own to do that?

Hi John, most metal polishes i.e. Brasso etc work great on the plastic rear window, shoe polish on the hood after cleaning it first works a treat.

Hopefully they do kiwi in blue ? As last Sunday I got wet because of my roof (job for the weekend , aswell fixing my blowing exhaust)

A little off thread but
Has anybody replaced the rear plastic window ? Over the xmas i split it but taped it up and haven't yet got round to replacing it.
Can I do it myself ?
Were could i get hold of some ?

Thanks

Might be easier to change the whole rear section...You gotta take it off anyway to stitch the new screen in.

I was gunna use the window from our tent when Kim wernt looking but she caught me with scissors in hand so thats a no no. No consideration these women the tent was for nothing off the mother in law as well.
