Bits falling off

driver side footwell. I noticed a black cap (size of a 5p piece) the other week and put it to one side. Got in this morning and found another - am I knocking something off with my legs? and could it be why water is coming in?

Are they the tops from the switches (boot & dash lights) under the dash?

Possibly screw covers from the pedal assembly.

they are not old 5p pieces that have been there years and go really dirty are they?
