Hi Uk Lambo owners And am after some recommendations / help on the following *

  • note I'm asking from the uk site as my native language is English and I intend for my car to depart from London/south uk
I am planning on a one month trip from japan in which my intention is shipping my spyder back to bologna, lamborghini (with help from lambo japan) then spending a spell there-around northern Italy- before heading towards London via way of Monaco,Cannes, Geneva etc

My request for recommendation/help is with regards to:

- whom is a recognized handler (shipper) of lambos in the uk / is there a company lamborghini uk use/recommend handling these cars (shipping back to japan)

- is there a Europe wide breakdown recovery service that can be purchased for a temporary period and again who know / can recover such cars to approved mechanics

- recommended central London secure parking

And finally, perhaps early though, but are there any lamborghini uk events/meets during end July/august/sept whereby a Japanese plated lambo could join.

Does sound odd but it'll be fun and have already done same through Asia and now it's Europe

Thanks noe666 (lamborghini-talk.com)

Good morning all and thanks for the replies + Ian thanks I got the email via lambo and will reply

I certainly would love to join up to some or at least one event - I am just fixing my dates now - more so I'm awaiting the shippers to give some rough dates / ideas from there end and should know during next week

Thanks again and will be in touch once I can choose preferred shipping time and book it

My only concern is the breakdown cover as the beast is great but has had one or two moments - and just at those times you think why now!

For secure parking I would recommend the Vinci underground carpark at Hyde Park Corner - http://www.vincipark.co.uk/customer-parking/mayfai...

About £30 per day, and home to a number of long term Lambos, Astons, RRs etc from the middle east and elsewhere... also used by Porsche of Mayfair as an overflow for their stock

For your breakdown cover, the two mainstream companies are:

The AA = theaa.com
The RAC = rac.co.uk

I usually use the AA for European breakdown cover, but have never broken down outside the UK - so not sure how well it works.
In the UK they are good and transported my car without a problem when it broke down.

You will also need to take out a UK restraining order against member Schmee150 or your every move will be photographed and recorded on this site!

I was left stranded in the French Alps, RAC gave me a hire car, ferry home, hotel room for two nights, flew me back and repaired my motorcycle. All for the fee of £35 for ten days, when we go in the lambo we tell them that we would require a demountable truck, and they put a note on fill, cost is No. of days and age of car.

Yeah ok so i wasnt invited ...... July it is then.....another plan foiled tongue out
