Hi BG, some time ago I seem to remember you giving a glowing recommendation on some leather restorer stuff. Can you remember the name of it please?

Chars!

The usual suspects are:

Croftgate (IIRC run by ex conoly people)
Leatherique
Gliptone

Gliptone Liquid leather, lovely stuff. I just treated a leather Leica camera case with it, made it even more lovely, it's the smell cloud9

Leatherique is better IMHO

Gliptone conditioner and the like are worse than useless on leather in 99.9% of cars because it has a plastic top coat - it can't absorb what you're applying.

If your just wanting to use the rejuvinating oil, I've got a spare bottle or two of the croftgate stuff smile

Fighting talk! Surely it will help clean and make things smell nice?

The Gliptone cleaner isn't bad but oil-based "conditioners" just attract more dirt.

Trommel is quite right, for most newish cars. You need proper leather in something older. Conditioner doesn't clean either, you need a separate product for that, before you then feed it.

My Fabia vRS has leather, I've not bothered putting the Gliptone on it though, no point, other than it would smell nice.

I'm having a good read of their site now. Cheers.

I don't recommend their leather cleaner BTW, it's very sticky and takes an age to rinse and get off IMO.
