We were there, in the 400 (parked on Southbank and then behind Druids). Spent most of the time in the paddock with Team Daft Dog Racing - John drives the ex-factory M racer, but unfortunately didn't have a great day.

No7 - hopefully John's will only be a selector os something after race 2, and I know race 1 wasn't the best for him either! Not the best day for me either - gear linkage broke in qually, the rear tracking on the rh was 5-6 mm toe in for race 1 hence a few spins!! And then a serious wheel shake and an over enthusiastic leader in a red sillouhette meant not much fun in race 2 either...

Lots to do (including 2 new slicks!) for Mallory ready for Peter to drive, then hopefully I'll have a better day at Rockingham!

Master of understatement!!

My gear box should be out and with Mr Reid to sort next week - as long as it's not going to cost a fortune!!

In retrospect, and only part way through Tuesday, I can safely say that a crap days racing is still better than a good day at work!

laugh I know what you mean John! I was more frustrated in race one at not being able to get the car pointing where I wanted it, and wrecking 2 slicks trying! But, all will be forgotton soon enough and the next race will be better!! See you at Mallory, and hopefully race with you at Rockingham!! smile

Ah so it was you that the clown in the beemer took out - we
were standing at the bottom of paddock hill when it happened. Hope you shook him warmly by the neck after the race.

No mate, it was me he took out on Paddock Hill. I wasn't a happy bunny at all, I'll leave it at that. Leading the class C race by a long way and just bringing it home for the second class win of the day when...... wallop, its all over. Clearly the chap in question had not listened to a thing in the drivers briefing as he also hit a number of others during the race. His comment to one of the other drivers said it all really.

Car suffered suspension, steering, tyre and bodywork damage. Should all be fixed before Mallory if I can raise the cash.

Blimey Dave - didn't realise the car was as bad as that!! Hope you get it sorted mate - if you get stuck for anything give me a shout! Is your tyre salvagable? The 2 fronts on ours are knackered now... And I reckon we'll be pulling the rear end apart to check it all too!!

See you at Mallory!! smile

No7 - The clown took me out on the entry to Clearways (I think - the right hander before start/finish) - Was lapping round the outside and cut in about 3ft before he was passed the car knocking me accross the grass!

From the BRSCC calender, we're not on with them any more though - hurrah!!

Also not him, but one of the others hit me on the last corner of the last lap, luckily I only suffered a slightly chipped wheel, and some scuff marks, I think he broke his wheel. I did think they took more risks than necessary, all depends on though on how close your racing your rivals. when it was the full blow Tuscan Race series there was a lot more incidents than on Sunday.

Hi Dave, at first sight it seemed to be just mainly bodywork. Driving the car back to the paddock something didn't feel right though. Had a closer look and it looks like the rack is damaged and there is something amiss with the drivers side rear suspension. At least 2 tyres are sliced so basically scrap. Luckily I saved a few parts off the car I just scrapped so should be OK for bits. Car is now with JG so hopefully steering and suspension will be sorted by next week sometime. I'll then have 3 weekends to sort the bodywork and anything else I find.

Looking forward to a more civilised race at Mallory. See you there matey.
