who decided that my trusty, rusty old tin lantern (that's been to LM with me on every trip since 2003) would be better off in their possession. This happened between Sunday 3am-7am in Houx campsite.

May you die a horrible and lingering death. You B*****rd.

sorry to here this barry,we came back to our tents on houx about 2ish a.m.to find that some b@@@@@@ds had cutt the new fence and enterd in.people was coming in like the great escape,i say put the old wall back up and make it bigger with armed guards on top.as that new fence is to easy to get in,plus all our stuff is on full view to all the skums who spoil it.so we spent a good 30 mins fixing it with wire etc, glad to say that by the morning the make shift fix was still in place.

I saw that led on the grass next to the taps on the wall at houx as i was brushing my teeth sunday morning!, we were also in Houx and some theiving little pikey stole our Gas Bottle which luckily was pretty much empty but thats not the point! You would think that in a campsite with mainly Brits in you would be safe! But obviously not!

that would probably explain how our radio dissapeared that night, and if you excuse the pun, how some of our chairs got 'legs' and dissapeared

While a lot of the campers may be British anyone with a EG ticket can walk in...

ahh, that might explain it then.... It's irritating but it won't spoil the overall excellentness (sic) of the trip. Next year I shall wire the replacement up to the mains evil ... thank you France, for not having an Health and Safety Executive (those leccy hookups looked their usual lethal selves all covered in bin bags and gaffer tape, what smile

Some scumbag(s) stole 3 of our chairs overnight on Saturday night from our campsite on Maison Blanche.

I hope the legs break and they fall off. Thieving w*****s!!

Slightly spoilt what was a really good trip and excellent time at Maison Blanche.

One of our crew was pickpocketed in the village on friday, probably in the scrum around the aston shop when they were giving out autographs, and some theiving scumbag stole one of our feather banners from MB. Assuming it wasnt an attack of conscience thanks to the guys that reurned most of it, we managed to find the other bits. Thing is they were of no use to anyone, 3 metre yellow banners with the motorclub logo on are not much use to anyone else.

I believe I saw that lantern on Sunday morning in Houx.. We were between the Franz Klammers and the entrance (twinned with Houx Annexe).. It was on the ground, discarded.

We must of been quite lucky on Houx this year. We had a domestic fridge full of beer, and cases of lager next to it. Nothing got touched, nothing went missing. Even left my wallet in my tent by accident while i went out for a few hours! No problems had.

One of our party had their wallet pick-pocketed on Friday during the pitlane free for all.

Houx was strangely 'quiet' this year, but that's not to say we didn't lock everything up when we went out. Apparently our next door neighbour had a bicycle stolen.

Slightly off topic, but did anyone think there were less pikeys about on Monday?

It was very quiet on Houx this year compared to previous years, still loads of room on there fri / sat morning!

Our German neighbours had their bikes stolen from Carrefour too. They were double chained up, and still stolen frown Such a shame.

I had this nicked on Saturday night between 21.00 and 00.00.

No, not the wife, the beach shelter!! We put it up just past the Dunlop bridge and when we came back, there it was.....gone! Search around with a torch and not even a tent peg was left FFS!! Nothing of great value in it but it all adds up to almost £200.

I'm trying not to let it but it puts you off going back. We are going to the Classic next month though so hope that that trip goes OK.

To be honest, if you are going to leave something like that lying around insecure and unattended (the shelter, not the wife!!) then with approaching 240,000 people it is going to disappear.

On the campsite I would agree with you but I would have thought it more likely you would have had squatters than not have a shelter at all!

Camped in Houx - in/by the feature 'lake' wink and my kettle disappeared on Friday evening sometime, which was damn annoying cos' I needed my coffee late that night - I was soaked through! frown

Gets a bit tiresome having to lock everything away.

I did wonder why they changed the outer fence, because it wasn't an improvement!

Would have been better spent on improving the shower/toilet facilities, which after all these years are still shocking.....
