Why not? It's free to join isn't it, and it might give you another queuing option if there's a lot of people waiting.

We rented from Dollar in Vegas (not the same but bear with me).

The car was easily the best priced (almost half price for the same motor from Hertz). This however meant the queue at the desk was massive. I really wished I could join the express queue.

Do it!

I found going through BA and renting from Avis to produce the best overall deals, became an Avis Preferred member for express service. Also get airmiles. Worth checking online, all their prices are inclusive so no extras hiding in the small print.

Do it.

Last time in Orlando the queue for the desk was 20+ deep. I walked up to the Express desk, flashed my card, and was out in 5 mins.

Definitely worth it.

You probably can't tie the booking to your membership, but you can still go the Express desk - most unlikely they'll turn you away.
