rear window replacement

My window stitching has rotted and come adrift - the window's still in reasonable condition but all the stitching needs replacing. Anyone had this done? If so where, and what was the quality like, and how much?

Anyone tried this themselves? All advice welcome.

Many moons ago when I was a tad younger... I had a Triumph Stag... Great in it's day.. it had a zip out rear window and was very good for a bit of air but not full top off...
I know this does not answer your question but would be good to do if you could find out how... I'd love to do it in my car!

Dont know what area you are in, if local to croydon or kent i can recommend a couple of trimmers who can restitch if thats what you want....

Sorry I should have mentioned I'm in Gloucestershire.

I'd like to know the price difference between stitching my old one back in versus a new window. My original is in surprisingly good nick but if it's not that much more to have a new one I'd probably go for that. I'm just a bit nervous that it might not be an exact fit and not taught when the roof is closed. This is what I want to know.

A Zip out rear window would be great in a Griff. I had several TR6s and a Spitfire ( no dont laugh) they were a good car) in the 80s and this was a superb feature . Late night summer drives when it was a bit too cold to have the roof down, but the rear window open were great.
I cant understand why Jaguar never offered this feature on the E-Type Roadster.

Is it possible to have this type of window fitted to the Griff Roof ?
