Thanks for the help when we were stranded!

Thank you to the passenger/owner of the Black? BMW X5 that stopped and gave us the bottle of water, was very much appreciated. Thanks as well for all the mechanical assistance happily we were OK on that front.

The drive belt for the alternator/water pump picked up a piece of grit in the tunnel out of Rouen which started to shred it, which in turn then cut through the water hose leading to loss of all the water. Happliy we had another belt which we changed and managed to cut the section of the hose off that was holed and reconnect but sadly not enough water to fill the rad. We realised that we had an air lock once we stopped the second time once we went into limp home mode, sadly for us we then had to wait an age to be recovered to a local garage off the main road as the road traffic people had no water with them.

We were the Shelby Daytona Coupe parked up outside Rouen sorry if you got caught in the one lane contra flow, the "20" minute wait took three hours for the truck!

That was a long three hour wait and then a further 2 hours before we got under way and caught the 1825 ferry.
