Anyone been to the Royal Ascot horse races?

I was just wondering what it was like in the Grandstand (not Royal Enclosure) admission - in terms of getting close to the horses, good food, etc.

Any tips or advice??

Nowt special get close but always bloody busy, the drink is mainly lukewarm urine but food not bad, the only race event worth going too is Glorious Goodwood which is a great day out the rest are just glorified chav infested piss ups with the Derby being the worst and one of the most unpleasant days of my life.
