Surprised no one else has posted about this yet?? Or am I just being blind?
A huge thankyou and well done to Brian and the team for this year!!
Where do I start???
The campsite was huge,
pitches all set out easy to find (bar getting moved about but no great shakes),
marquee and bar more than adequate,
fresh bread every morning a god send,
TV coverage great for when just waking up,
security were on the ball at the gate (didn't see anyone slope in that shouldn't have been there),
toilets and showers clean entire duration of our stay (including hot water 24h),
just far away enough from the track to be quietish (compared to being parked against the catch fence the last few years in Karting Nord) but not too far away to walk to stands,
and of course great company.....
All in all can't complain and will be doing the same again next year if all goes to plan.
Again, Thanks guys!!

Yep, fully agree....
Fantastic set up, showers were cold-ish Sat morning, but I think that was due to everyone using them at the same time...helped to wake me up though!
Friendly helpful staff, great security and the BIG bonus for me was the charging point so I could recharge the phone(s) and camera(s)!! God send even though I brought extra batteries to try and avoid this..
Also a huge thanks to the guys around me and my daughter, we didn't come by car and were roughing it to a certain degree but people were offering to help us put the tent up in rain, offering beer, thanks to Ian in the blue DBA who stored my laptop all w/end in his boot! and Nick, Dave, the lads from Somerset in the Touareg for a great Sunday night....
This was my daughters 1st Le Mans and she is already asking when I am booking next years trip and trying to get some of her friends to go as well...
Probably the best comment was from Nick who said it was one of the best trips he had been on in 15 years of going...
Brian and the team, a huge thank you from us, working out how I can afford to drive next year by buying a runabout to do the trip from Scotland, hopefully will see some of you there again..

Thanks for all your comments so far. We will pass these on to the crew, who worked so hard throughout the week.
We are looking at our plans for 2011 and will introduce a limited number of larger pitches (5m x 10m) as well as the standard (3.5m x 10m) and driver only (2.7 x 10m) pitches.
The hot water did seem to run out on Saturday due to the header tank emptying, but the maintenance team from the suppliers came out quickly to resolve this.
The other areas for improvement we've picked up on so far are:
Cheers

- Raise the TVs up higher so that everyone can see
- More/faster coffee machine
- Larger pitches

After all the threads I've read recently about Le Mans "It's not as good as it used to be." "Someone sprayed my tent/car/wife with piss." etc. it's good to see a positive experience!
Really want to go next year. As none (and I mean NONE) of my friends are even vaguely interested, what could I expect turning up as a billy-no-mates? I've done a few 'ring trips with various groups on my own, and my experience has ranged from awkward to random.

I joined the Gulp Gang this year and had a brilliant time, I am sure you would be welcome next year! Really want to go next year. What about having some sort of Wi-Fi internet access? That would be a big selling point for me and I'm sure many others.
Yes, Wi-Fi internet access is another thing we will be looking into, although the logistics of getting a good permanent connection in the middle of a field may present some challenges.HereBeMonsters said:

I went on my own this year(and first time to Le Mans too) I had a great time (I camped at Tetre Rouge) I never felt for one minute 'on my own' as everyone is there to have a good time and enjoy the experience whether it be four-wheeled or beer...!!!Really want to go next year. you could expect exactly what the people either side of us this year expected, both being Le Mans virgins, a beer if you want one and food from my BBQ... At the end of the day we are all there to enjoy the same thing so why not get along?? As for the my wife/tent/car/dog/granny got sprayed with water/piss/beer/champagne threads, all I can say is don't let them put you off. We all know it goes on so why go out of our way to find said troubles?? Much nicer to be sat on the campsite with a beer and BBQ food talking with likeminded ppl than "out there" with the idiots!
I will be going every year as far as possible and nothing will put me off!!
We too had a superb Le Mans experience, yet again, due to Brian's most excellent set up in the 1st Tickets Camp Site.
I'm afraid I've been spoiled by too many posh hotels and when I was told I was camping at Le Mans I was a bit apprehensive... horrified actually. This is now my third year Glamping with Brian and still loving it!!
Big telly... not one but two... 24 hour race on one, footy on the other, bar, clean showers, clean toilets, no queues, electric charging point, guard on the gate.
Thanks Brian, another great year... don't let it get any bigger though or it's in danger of becoming just a smaller version of what's outside the fence!
I like the sound of a Barbecue.
I'll post some pics of the site soon.

We would like to thank Brian and his support team for a very enjoyable 4 days. Shower/Toilet facilities and Security excellent. A few small improvements with the Tea/Coffee machine and TV's as already mentioned. Layout of site good and very well behaved patrons compared to some other sites. Particularly enjoyed the company of the 2 groups of friends camping either side of us.
Can't wait to book again for next year.
