Question: Will E30 rear shocks fit an E36?

As said, the rear shocks on our 1993 E36 325i Coupe are knackered, I have no money but I do have two rear shocks spare from my 1989 320i that are nearly new.

Will they fit? RealOEM shows that the bottom bolt holes are both M12 and I hear that the top mounts are the same. Anyone know if the length is similar enough?

As i know, the e36 318ti's were fitted with the same front and rear suspension as the e30, not sure about any of the bigger engine models though.

In case anyone interested.... they do fit (well sort of) they are about 25mm shrter but can be spaced out to fit.
