no luck needed. they are brilliant all-round cars. end of.

enjoy it. the engine is an absolute cracker too. if you can, only fill it with the V-power stuff.

Hi there!

Do you have some particular car in mind, or are you hoping to clinch one somehow at the weekend?

They're lovely cars.....I really like the look of those white ones with the red leather.....believe there is also a rare, matt black competition version at Sytner, Harold Wood.

Good luck and enjoy whatever you get.....these M-cars are special!

old and new:

trust me, the M3 is a cracker of an all-rounder. wouldn't be my choice for the weekend fun. but as a single car to do everything, it's possibly the best. cracking to drive, has a huge boot, proper back seats, comfy when out of M-mode (rarely in that!)

enjoy it. i've no doubt you will.

thanks, yes the all-rounder bit is vital for me - I do have a family - and sometimes they want to tag along with me on holiday and stuff - so 4 seats and the ability to carry a roof-box is essential!

I wouldn't buy an E92. They are rubbish!!

I have one, it's hard on bumpy roads with the EDC on it's fullest setting. It corners like it's on rails. It is brutally fast, in every gear and makes my previous 911 and E46's (M3's) seem slow. It turns heads like you wouldn't beleive. It sounds amazing even with a standard exhaust. It makes me feel so proud as an owner when I drive down the road and everyone stares.

Oh wait................did I say not to buy one??? Lol. It's the best car I have ever owned!! Get one, they are amazing!! I grin every time I drive mine, it's an addiction. That noise!!!!!!!!!!!! Do it, do it, do it, DO IT!!!! NOW!!!! Lol.

will agree it's hard with EDC on hardest (as you want in M mode!) but it's quite a bit softer with the EDC showing no orange lights on the console bit by the gear stick. it's still not exactly soft but it's not really firm. does make quite a big difference i reckon.

You really find it to be a head turner? I think i've seen people looking once or twice at my car and thats it. Admittedly I do have a rather muted space grey one.

Whilst most of the time I have no problems with that, sometimes I think it would be nice to have something with a bit more wow.

I have a Dakar Yellow one and that is a real head turner, it's such an awesome car, a bit fat but very very good at most things.

later this week or start of next week - depending when I can get some time off - figure it needs a whole day and a tank of fuel for me to "get used to it" wink
