Are we a bit slow tonight?

Seems top take an age for some pages to load up. They always appear in the end, but can take several seconds at a time. Other sites dont seem affected.

Anyone else, or as usual, just me?

I had an outbreak of this at the same time as your post I would say. Other websites were working fine so concluded it was PH.

ETA: "What's New" seems particularly slow.

Yes, Gassing Station took 10 min. to load, was only a little faster in recebt days.
Also, when clicking "back" from a thread to a forum, this was VERY slow in the last days.
When it happened I saw this :

Ah, Feck, now I wanted to post a screen shot I saved of a peculiar looking Gassing Station,
but Thumbsnap wants to download an "embed" file, what´s that about ? It worked before ?

It´s fast again, at least on my work PC.
I also can open the "uploader" correctly here,
yesterday at home the correct window popped up with the "Sizes" choice,
but the "select a photo to upload" part was missing completely,
instead there was this "embed" file thingy.
I have to try at home in the evening again.

OK, thumbsnap seemed to be the "embed" file that was blocked by pop-up blocker.
Now it works, and I can show the screen I got this week:



What causes this ?

That happens when the stylesheet doesn't load, a refresh should sort it.
