Just a heads up to anyone in the sandhurst area - there are some nice people driving around smashing car windows with a catapult.

I've had mine done, and from what I hear it's not the first time it's happened. They've got about 20 cars in the area tonight according to the police.

I'd ask why people do this, but I'm not sure there's any answer that'll make me feel any better.

So there go my years of no claims..

Please keep an eye out for anything suspicious.

Digging around and found these - probably the same people:

Good on the police though, they're letting all the owners know tonight. Just hope they catch them. Forcefully. With batons, CS spray and police dogs.

The thing that winds me up the most is even if these aholes get caught they won't get punished. They will probably enjoy a tour of the cop shop and go up the pecking order in their gang. This country is on it's arse.

Got the impression it was around the area according to the police - but for me, the college town end.

It's not that bad. This is the first real problem I've had in 27 years.. but thanks all the same for insulting my home town! smile (its a 5 min walk from the rec btw)

All down to your experience of a place I suppose. I have a similar opinion of Owlsmoor and parts of Blackwater. And Camberley. Let's just not mention Aldershot.

Counting England flags in England during the world cup isn't the best measurement I've heard of... surely there must be a better way. Counting pregnant teenagers maybe?

Found a crime map earlier which was quite interesting:

Appears to suggest that fewer people (and more sheep) = less crime, but that's nothing groundbreaking.

My home town too for 30 years before I moved to Yateley after getting married. Silver Hill is probably the root of the trouble, I lived in a cul de sac next to the rec and found no problem with the yoofs of the day
