I haven't posted here for some time as I'm still patiently (well not patiently at all, I'm getting edgier and edgier!) waiting to acquire the Tudor Heritage Chrono that I am desperate for.

However that hasn't stopped other watches catching my eye. Here's an interesting piece - a chrono with the subdials arranged in a line:

Unfortunately it has an absolutely risible name - 'Chrono 4 Badboy' - but fortunately that idiotic name isn't written on the dial of the watch.

It's not cheap but I'd be surprised if the movement was completely bespoke - it's got to be a very cleverly modification of a standard movement at that price, surely? My money's on a very special chrono module on a decent base movement like an ETA 2892-2, rather than a souped up 7750. Anyone know?

I've noticed the Eberhard & Co range of watches on the Jura website before, and as much to say that the horizonal layout of the chrono dials is refreshingly different, the majority are quite ugly to look at!

I personally would be hesitant to spend £5,600 on a watch known as a 'Chrono 4 Bad Boy' ... I'm not too keen on the 'Chrono 4' font/logo and the overall bulky design reminds me of something you might find in the latest Argos catalog! The Chrono 4 Grand Taille Capirex, which is limited to 65 pieces, looks a bit better imho:

I can still think of a few more watches I'd rather own for £6K though! hehe

ETA: I do like the look of this:

ETAA: It looks as if the Chrono 4 Temerario range (Square case, 4 vertical dials) is based on an ETA 2894, so the standard Chrono 4 might have the same modified movement.
