Is it worth getting an Accumate/Battery conditioner?

Do the T350 often drain their batteries when parked? I plan to use the car at weekends - so could be a week or so between drives.

Does anyone else use one? I assume the cigarette lighter adaptor will work fine.

I use an Optimate via the fag lighter.

I only use the T350 as a weekend car and battery has been fine.

I do have a trickle charger which plugs into a charging port in the passenger footwell but haven't needed to use it yet.

No, the wire fits just right through the gap at the top of the door and only presses against the door seal on the inside.

I have one that connects to the Anderson connector.

I regularly leave the car for a week not connected and it starts first time no problems.

I use it every now and again or if it will be stood for a fortnight. You may never use it but it will be handy to have the day you try and start it / get in and your battery is flat!

That's what I was thinking - a just in case thing, for not a lot of cash.

RG fitted an Itelligance charger into the rear little hatch/flap and plumbed it straight into the light next to it on my Sag. Its bloody perfect!! Just plug it into the wall during the week and NEVER have a flat battery. Easy!!!

I bought one from HHC and its never let me down

I remember this year when the snow was here and I left car at friends and went oversea/home to FRance and got back and car was covered in snow and flat

Put charger into cig lighter and charged overnight - turned over in the morning

Kept on charger during nights when cold, but started no problems

Given my own experiences of electical woes, I'd suggest that keeping the battery charged is definitely prefable to the risk of being locked out of a car that doesn't have any locks!

That was my thinking - reduce the risk of anything happening.

Got mine from the same supplier and its served me well. Perhaps everything would have been ok anyway but its a small cost for peace of mind!
