Hi folks,

Anyone have any experience of living and working in the following countries / places

Singapore

Thinking of moving on from Abu Dhabi and not much available back in the UK at the moment.

All the best.

I currently work in the construction industry as a Design Manager. I am a chartered engineer with around 13 years post graduate experience.

The two roles I would be interested in are Client Project Manager or Design Manager for a large contractor.

Oh i dunno, Ive worked in Vietnam now for 8 years, my last 3 year contract finished 8 weeks ago, i went back to the UK for some R&R and within 2 weeks i had three very firm and good offers of work, i had to turn two down. Ive just landed a permanent posting to Hanoi with an Australian constuction company.

The power industy in Vietnam is booming, belive me, but you must have good credentials and plenty of experience, like at least 20 years on the construction and commissioning side. You need to register with plenty of agencies and just wait to see whats about, get in with the expat agencies based in Asia, they need good qualified and experienced engineers, i know that for a fact, as i need them too.
