Hi all,

Hoping someone on hear can offer a little advice, or at the very least confirm my car isn't alone in this most annoying of traits.

Car is an E46 2002 coupe... It has the 'black cube' interior/fascia and at present the b*stard stuff won’t stop creaking/clicking/ticking etc (specifically the part above the stereo, those around the door card, and bits on the rear side panels)!!!

Seems to vary with the weather so I guess it’s to do with materials expanding/contracting.

Also, the plastic cowling in the rear corners (bit that covers the rear window push rod) wont stop bloody creaking either. At present there wedged against the seats with a varying bits of folded paper/card (looks lovely).

I was wondering if anyone else has suffered with this annoyance and whether or not it is simply a case of removing and refitting (perhaps with new clips??).

Many thanks

Ben

(Yes I’m totally anal about the slightest odd noise that my or anyone else’s car for that matter makes)

I've got an annoying squeek that occurs when going over the odd bump. Same age/interior as you and yes it is bloody annoying. Haven't figured out where it's coming from though.

I've a 2004, E46 coupe and the only slight creak / rattle I get is from the back - I'm going to investigate the area you've highlighted for this although it's an intermittent noise on mine. Front trim not an issue for me and I've the silver Alu-cube.

Good to hear i'm not alone...

I may 'go nuts' at the weekend and start pulling things off to see if anything is untoward.

Hell maybe i'll just remove everything without replacing it and then it can't bloody creak anymore!!
