hi
Got the do it up book off mx5parts yesterday an it says that the two towing eyes at the front are "unsuitable for towing and may as well be removed" so i removed them, but where should the car be towed from? the rear towing hook or is there somewhere on the front i'm missing?
also drilled my airbox an dropped a k&n panel filter into it an does sound amazing

they are pretty strong as are the bits they mount into - i think however you just want to use them both together, they should be fine for towing if you use just the one. aftermarket ones attach to the same place anyway and won't be significantly stronger, if at all. i have an aftermarket on mine and whilst i wouldn't want to pull it out of a ditch with broken front wheels or anything, i think on the road it should be fine.
