e90 330i service schedule
Discussion
Unfortunately the PH search function is not working currently, so i'll ask my question here.
My wife bought a second hand 06 330i from Sytners about 18 months ago. They told her it was fully serviced as all their 2nd hand cars are. It was a good car nice spec so she bought it
She has had all the services done when ever the indicator has advised in the car.
She has now decided to sell and i was about to place the ad, when i looked through her service book and noticed that the only stamps include:-
The pre delivery check stamps in feb 06
Then my wifes 1st service which was august 09 at 20000 miles
Then a 2nd service may 2010 at 27000 miles
so nothing between feb 06 and aug 09. We bought it Dec 08 and had it serviced when the light indicated in aug 09.
Does this look correct or should have anything been done between feb 06 and when we bought in dec 08 as the dealer told her it was fully serviced and only bring back when the light indicated.
Cheers

My 330i is on 17k and says it wants an oil service in approx 3k so I guess the 20k interval is 'normal'. The manual and the dealers both state that the car 'knows' when it needs service so I can only conclude that if a time-based interval were necessary in the absense of mileage the car would surely tell you after how ever many months were necessary. 2.5 years does seem like a long time to go though.
You need to check with dealer, but I think the car should have had more servicing than that. The microfilter/pollen filters I believe have a two year life and I understand that's also the service interval on the brake fluid - it is on my E90 320d. Doesn't the oil interval have a time-based cut-off as well as the variable mileage element?
