On Track Saturday morning

At about 9am on Saturday morning I heard cars on the track and from the distance I was at they looked like sports cars rather than race cars they were being led by a pace car I think ... Was I seeing things :-) if not how do you get to do this???

I think 9 a.m. was the warm-up for the race, then from about 10 it was the Group C cars race, from about 11 there were various car groups doing track laps including a lot of the Corvette owners from across Europe who get to do the track lap thanks to Luc Alphand and a charity that he supports for sick children.
