For those of you who have not fitted your windscreen yourself or had the factory do it. Can anyone recommend a company capable of doing a professional job - quickly?

cheers - mark

WOULD TOTALLY RECOMMEND THE JOB IS DONE BY THE FACTORY.

I used the usual suspects, poor results.

For the price of the transport to them, and the speed, confidence and experience they have in doing it, I would have used them if I knew then what I..................etc

the guy who came to do it today was pulling his face and did not seem interested in taking the care and patience to do it properly, so as a result he was shown the door.

I Have seen several GTRs with black silicon as the seal between the body and the glass which is o.k but not the best. The fellow who did mine here in California used a universal gasket that fits like a glove and looks like thats the way it left the factory. If you think of the gasget as being T shaped the long leg is like a Christmas tree with the branchs pointing towards the body. once you slide it into place the branchs hold the peice in posistion the short sides of the T have a slight crown to them and cover the gap nicely from the edge of the body to the edge of the glass. Any good glass shop here in the States should be able to source this gasget. If someone in England wants it and thier shop can't find it, contact me and I will see about getting a peice long enough for 5 or 6 cars and selling it to you. Same old story the shipping will probably be more than one gasget, might as well divide the costs through a couple of cars worth. Lee

Mark: I called my installer he indicates that it comes in 100 foot rolls and he's going to get me a price. I would imagine that each car takes about 8-10 feet of gasget. Lets see what the cost is and then we'll see if buying the whole roll is worth it to you. Lee
