Has anyone here had a parmo?

Looks disgusting - the sort of thing you'd eat after 10 pints...

Just appears to be chicken parmasan, a dish quite widely found in America.

Those 'oop North' seem to think it's their own invention?

I have. went drinking with our teesside office and they insisted. imagine a greasy fast food 4quid version of chicken parmesan. not good, but as you say 10 pints eases the pain splendidly.

Philistine, they are god's best vessel for getting the most amount of calories into oneself in the shortest space of time.

Have a go at making some yourself if you are not near Teesside:

Good quality chicken breast, bashed flat until it is the size of a plate and then breadcrummed,
Thick homemade bechamel sauce on top
Then cheese - generally cheddar
Extras if you want them (hot shot parmo has pepperoni/jalapenos, you also get parmo fungi, parmo prosciutto etc etc. Basically treat it a little bit like a pizza!)
Then oven for half an hour or so until all browned and bubbling!
Serve with salad and chips and you are away.

Much nicer then a dirty kebab after a night out too!

Had them a couple of times. They're tasteless bland greasy things dressed in grease, with extra bland and grease.
Nothing like the Chicken Parmesans I've had in the states, thankfully - they were really nice, the ones I've had in middlesboghorror were rancid. It's like someone regurgitated the 80's onto a pizza box.

When a doner kebab is the healthier, lower fat option you know it's bad news hehe
