Well, After about 9 weeks of all I can describe as would be stress hell! the car is eventually built and running.

The car has took more time than I could ever of imagined and being on a deadline in time for the ring trip has always been nagging away in the background.

At one point the car was spread between 6 counties and I began to believe that some of it would never come back.

Anyway, If your thinking of doing some upgrades All I can say is fk Yeah!

The final piece of the puzzle came together on Wednesday night when Mr Yellowshed done his Keyboard magic and also a couple of handyman jobs with a drill.

The stress during the mapping process was too much for me and I spent most of the evening pacing the car park. When you have built the engine yourself there is always a slight doubt in the mind.

Trevor seemed more than happy with the motor and it pulled good and strong all the way.
Apart from a couple of hoses blowing off and scaring the hell out of me everything went smooth.

The drive home was a very special event,
The car just seems so smooth and happy with just the lightest touch of the throttle to whip past during an overtake without any effort.

Then things all change.....You hit the loud pedal and the only word I can find to describe the acceleration is "Savage", The torque is just giggly and the rev limiter seems to just keep appearing so quickly.

I've had the car for three years now without any major upgrades because of financial restrictions but this year it was possible. I thought about letting her go earlier in the year to change for either a porker or a Gtr but I want to feel a sense of occasion when I'm driving it,
And this is my car.....
To enjoy on my own....
I want to feel the connection to the road....
And I don't want my kids in the back....
It's for me me me....

All I can say to anyone thinking of taking a Noble to the place it could of been when leaving the factory is..... Just fking do it, As you won't be dissapointed.

To all the helpers out there...... Thankyou .... Thankyou .... Thankyou ....

Matty. And roll on the Ring.

I heard you had a good time Matty, you have set the bar very high smile... having had my car mildly tweeked by Yellowshed earlier this year I fully understand just how much more responsive the car is after his fettling, oh and faster smile

Im 2 weeks into a 4 week complete engine rebuild and upgrade to 6 speed box (basically whole car as also doing rads and coolers etc lol)... Oh and ive been in sweden for all of this week and spent a fortune in phone bills hassling everyone to get an idea if im still on target (anyone got a brand new crank lol )... so I was wondering, what are you and simon doing for the next 2 weeks biggrin

Thanks guy,s I'm so looking forward to next weekend now it's unreal.

Andy, you've took on one hell of a project but when it's done you'll hardly believe it's the same car.
It's just amazing how these cars can put down so much power on the road without all the electronic crap.

I'm available for any moral support or if I can give any advice but I'm tucked up scoring brownie points with the missus after so much time on the car and away for the next two weekends biggrin

I still can't get over how savage this thing is though.....Great

Nicky I do feel the pull of the Gtr but they would have to sit side by side coz the noble is a lifer!

Craig, you mentioned that your car just didn,t quite have enough and ran out of puff early....... Don't worry that'll change smile

I experienced somthing a little different this morning, damp road, 888,s and 500 ponies means bloody concentratebiglaugh

Matty,

So glad to hear you're enjoying the fruits of your labours!! Certainly was impressive power on the night, and it sounded a really sweet engine. Well done, mate.
