Hello folks.
Right, my daily runner, a R reg 1.4 Ghia has started creaking at low/parking speeds and I can't seem to diagnose the problem. At very low speeds there is an annoying sqeaking or creaking coming from the front underside of the car. It happens either when going over anything other than perfectly smooth tarmac OR when steering to park up etc. The weird thing is it only happens when the car is fully warmed up and never first thing in the morning or when the car is cold. The problem was there before I put a new exhaust on, so I'm confident its not that (as I fitted it myself, belts and braces and all that).

Could it be the steering rack? And if so, would a simple greasing routine be the fix? When I get someone to rock the suspension, I can't replicate the bloody creaking. Its driving me nuts! nuts

Kind regards
Mike.

As already mentioned will be the wishbone bushes jack the car up and look at the rear bush on the joyor wishbones if its unbonded and poking out the arm theres your culprit smile
