I am interested in a Fisher Fury but I have seen some unfinished Ginetta G27's around for reasonable prices which appeal to me, but how do they compare are they heavier, how do they handle in comparison and what’s the quality like in comparison. My worry is that they maybe a more civilised and ultimately less enjoyable car. If anyone could support or disprove this idea it would help me make up my mind it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Check the SVA rules on headlights, Ive got a nagging feeling the G27 wont pass as they are too low or pop up??

are these G27 the ones from pistonheads and ebay?

they are far too expensive!!!

i own both a G27 and a fisher fury, both pinto powered. (and i owned 2 other g27 before), both live axle models

the handling of the fisher is light, easy, controlable and safe...even when the kit was built in a low budget way. it seams that the chassis and suspension geometry was well engineered into the kit.

the ginetta´s i owned arent compareable with any fisher/sylva i´ve driven. driving is heavy, hard and unsafe, also the chassis is flexing....they look nice but handling is awfull...like driving a tank, compared to a fisher or sylva.

suspension geometry is poor engineered and without any upgrade you wont be happy (if you have ever driven a fisher).

also the ginetta has around 700kg weight, whereas a fisher with speedster screen is around 530kg

Thanks that was pretty much what I thought but wanted someone with prior experience and greater knowledge to confirm it.

Now to find a suitable fisher fury the search is on!!!
