Freelander 2 is almost due a full set of tyres and I've just got a nail in the tread. So rather than repair I'll just get the lot changed.

The contis it came with are 140 odd quid a set. Anything else I should be looking at? I had considered going for a full set of AT's smile

I put a set of Goodyears on ours, principally because they were a good price; on-line at Kwik Fit, forget how much but less than £140 per tyre. I really don't believe that there is much difference between the brands on this type of vehicle so look for a good deal.

Just incase anyone stumbles on this thread, I decided a set of General Grabbers , the UHP's not the AT2s. Love AT2's and I have a lot of respect for General based on past experience.

The continentals have lasted less than 30k miles, and they only have 2-3mm left. They seemed OK but I'll be surprised if the Grabber's don't perform better. We'll see, 400 quid fitted for a set from black circles on my driveway, worth a punt smile
