Removing old trim glue.

The black trim strips which run vertically up the door/window frame on my wives 03plate Fiesta are all loose because the glue holding them on is drying out with age.Any ideas on how to remove the old glue or is it simpler to buy all new clips and trim to refix?

Auto Smart sell a spray on glue remover, pretty good stuff, gets off 3M adhesive a treat. Jelsol is the product name if i recall.
