hard wiring snooper/radar GPS

Hi, im in the process of hard wiring a Snooper S4 to my X3. Can anyone recommend a good feed for the power cable on the drivers side foot well? I was thinking of taking the power off of the internal drivers foot well light socket.....?

I wanted to hard wire my Pogo Alert but the techy guy said it would mean breaking into a sealed loom and even then he would have trouble identifying a suitable cable.

My solution was to extend the lead and plug it into the armrest power outlet. I used a one into two lead
for a spare (DAB is on that now) and I tucked the metre long cable under all the plastics and is reasonably neat.
