Right,

The number of shots that are getting launched practically into the stratosphere, is that ball inflated with helium or what?

I am also watching the players seemingly unable to control it, the ball just goes flying off...

I think some managers are telling their players to shoot on sight because the ball moves in the air and makes it hard for keepers, if they ever get it on target.

It's crap, companies are always developing new technology & materials etc to improve the quality of the balls they produce. They say this is the roundest ever made but as soon as players started knocking it around they started complaining about it because if you connect with full power it doesn't go where it should do. Players spend their entire lives hoping to play in this competition, for some it will be their only chance & to use a ball that none of them are comfortable with is shambolic.

A small amount of testing would have showed that this ball was poor quality. Apparently you can only hit the ball at about 75% accuracy to get any accuracy. This is the biggest tournament in the sport, everything should be as close to perfect as possible so that the world's best can show their true ability. This ball clearly isn't so they should have just binned it, rebranded an old 1 & used that instead.
