Morning all, feeling rather hungover today and feeling the need to vent some anger!
Anyway, I had been after a mk2 golf gti for a long time but was really fussy as to what example I wanted and eventually laid my hands on a near mint one, mega low mileage with a 2 litre engine conversion and shed loads of history and it has been featured in a few performance vw magazines in the past, I've not had it long but I absolutey loved taking it out for a good hoon whenever I got the chance.Yesterday morning I gave her a good clean, sorted out the cd's that were flying around all over the front, spent ages hoovering and cleaning the inside then gave her a decent wash all over, by now she Is looking stunning even if I do say so myself! Stunning until some dozy fking moron of a woman decides to tank across a roundabout without looking only to rip my front bumper clean off and absolutely rip the front end of the car to pieces! Then the dozy cow had the nerve to suggest it was my fault! My 18 month old son was in the car which made me even angrier, luckily he is fine as are my other passengers and myself but it could have been much worse, fking stupid jaguar driving tuss of a woman bd driver! Excuse my French, fking idiot. Feeling better now, time for breakfast me thinks

Mate, I do feel really bad for you, that is not a good thing.

How did it happen? So, was she already on the roundabout when you pulling on to it?

Really sorry for you. As you say the main thing is you and your family are unhurt.

There does seem to have been an increase in muppetry recently. A good friend of mine was rear ended a few weeks ago whilst stationary in traffic - a touran driver who was "distracted by the children" simply didnt stop.

I hope the insurance sitation is clear cut and fair - good luck sorting it out.

Not good. Similar a few years back I was indicating and turning right at a mini roundabout when some arrogant/blind bint barrels straight across in front of me at what appeared to be greater than 40mph (30 limit). Shocker!

It's a busy mini roundabout setup, I was already on the roundabout just about to take my exit when she shot across with looking or giving way and we had no chance, we had several witnesses give their details to us who saw her tank across the roundabout without stopping so should be a straight forward insurance claim but I'm still mighty pissed off about it! At the end of the day though its metal and plastic and can be fixed, I'm just glad my little one and passengers are relatively unscathed

Bloody mini roundabouts. There are many hard of thinking types out there who simply don't understand how they are supposed to work. Bring back proper junctions.

Sorry about your car. Is it repairable?

Choker! Just be glad you're ok man. I once spent ages and ages finding a mint Galant V6. Had it about 6 months. Cleaned it constantly. Then a truck took the drivers side of it while it was parked outside my house. Didn't even stop. My neighbour watched it happen but didn't take the reg. Car totalled.

Took me months to calm down.

Need to keep a lid on it man. All the best.

I would imagine the car can be fixed but at the end of the day it's a 20 year old car so depends on the insurance company I suppose! Nevermind, I've got a mk1 cabby I've meaning to fix up for a while, looks like that might get done quicker now!
