The standard of driving was bloody shocking today, perhaps the worst I've ever seen in the BTCC. O'Neill and Macdowell in particular were big disappointments. When did it become acceptable to barge people out of the way without punishment? When did the rot set in?
I think you'll find O'Neill was hit in every race at some point or other - and the TV commentators rightly pointed out that he is one of the cleanest drivers on the grid.Yes, it was unfortunate that there was contact with Onslow-Cole in race two, but he was only in that position because he'd been hit by Matt Neal earlier on and pushed into Collard.
Shedden and Collard both hit him early in race two, Collard at a high-speed part of the circuit where it could easily have ended in tears (as it did in the Ginetta race at the end of the day) and then Boardman and Jackson both hit him on the final lap of the race.
