Which is the best day at the FOS, Sat or Sun?
Discussion
Personal opinion is that Friday is the best day, as its nice to have a day off work, and there are slightly fewer people.
Having said that, I think that many of the big names wait until the weekend to show up...
As for parking , agree with all that has been said to date - the only thing that I would add is that I turned up one year in my mx5 . It was wet and my car was lowered and turbo charged , t'was a little bit of an effort getting out of there !!

Friday is also freebie tix day, so can be busier.
I dont think that'll be the case (so much) this yearAs posted elsewhere, the freebie times tickets (the main bulk) was only available via Times+ website this year which you had to subscribe to (albeit you could get in this year via a free preview, after a lot of hassle)
Time will tell!
Hi guys have been to FOS many times before and have always found that the Sunday is without doubt the buisiest day.
On most of the approach roads into the estate last year they had the SOLD OUT boards displayed, but it was quite evident to any FOS veteran once inside the grounds that, that was utter rubbish
I've never known a Sunday so quiet.

Interesting.... I didn't go Sunday last year as the previous had been so bonkers - maybe others thought the same??On most of the approach roads into the estate last year they had the SOLD OUT boards displayed, but it was quite evident to any FOS veteran once inside the grounds that, that was utter rubbish

Can you tell me, are the roads in busy? Is there clear direction signs to the carparks?
There are clear direction signs, Goodwood advice is to use Sat Nav until you hit the first AA signs, then switch off and rely on the signsNormally plenty of parking marshalls directing you, plus the police on exit
There is always a LOT of traffic, but you can obviously minimise this by getting there as early as possible (gates open 7am)
Q's normally start in earnest about 2 miles out (based on around 9am), at least thats my experience!
This year I am staying right on top of Goodwood at East Lavant so hope to minimise the hassle (if it wasnt for the Mrs I'd walk!) even more than last year when I stayed in Chichester (for me, Goodwood is a 3.5 hour journey so its just not practical to do it on the day and arrive early)
