Discussion
Folks having problems with the following questions in a motoring quiz - I thought you might like to 'discuss' (ie give me the answers) ;-)
Ok here we go ...
1) What offence code would appear on your licence if you were prosecuted for speeding in motorway roadworks?
2)What is the distance between the emergency telephones on the clockwise carrageway of the M25?
3) Your road fund licence expired seven days ago. Are you committing an offence if you continue driving the car on the public road?
Heres my stab at the answers:
1) I reckon it would be one of the following ..
CU60 Undefined failure to comply with Construction and Use Regulations
SP50 Exceeding speed limit on a motorway
SP60 Undefined speed limit offence
TS50 Failing to comply with traffic sign (excluding stop, lights)
TS70 Undefined failure to comply with a traffic direction or sign
2) This is a puzzling one; after doing some research I discovered that emergency telephones should be opposite each other. There is also a set distance that they should be spaced (1500m I believe). But the M25 is circular! So as the clockwise carrageway is on the outside of the two carrageways does this make it greater than 1500m or at 1500 m? Or is it a trick question and as it is a busy motorway they are spaced at less than this ??
3) I'm pretty sure this is Yes due the the new changes etc. But what about travelling to get an MOT so you can buy your road fund licence (wasn't this called tax ... hmmm ).
Any thoughts?
